The term 'Quietude' is defined as a 'state of stillness, calmness and quiet in a person or place'. It is in this place of quietude that we can also be present, alert and alive to everything that is around us but also be ready for anything that comes our way. We are prepared, vigilant but calm, attentive and aware. Ready for whatever life throws at us.
I would love to help you find quietude ...Please fill in your details on the form which can be found on the CONTACT PAGE

I am only offering face to face atm but I will be doing some sessions online in the future.
My
Own 'Finding Quietude' Practice
I have my own Finding
Quietude Practices. The first is where I seek to find quietude through drawing
and painting mainly with acrylic, focusing on observations of the landscape,
the sky, the sea and rivers, but also exploring visually what I hear either in
the landscape, music, or tinnitus. And rethinking silence, stillness, and
solitude.
My second practice is
helping others to Find Quietude through a combination of meditation,
mindfulness, creative arts, and positive psychology. I am also dedicated
to helping others manage tinnitus, through offering support, building
resilience and hope, and helping to find effective ways to manage tinnitus on a
daily basis.
I have my own daily
meditation practice and I have been practicing for over 20 years. At first I
studied mantra meditation at the School of Transcendental Meditation,
Oxford and then Mindfulness, studying on the 8-week MBSR course with
Mindfulness Chilterns, before training to teach evidenced-based meditation and
mindfulness with Positive Psychology teacher and researcher Dr Itai Ivtzan's
School of Positive Transformation.
I practice Positive
Psychology in a "non-clinical setting with functioning individuals who are
looking to develop, grow and flourish". I work with adults within my
own area of qualifications and refer people who need further support if their
needs are outside the scope of my practice.
I am a coach and teacher and
not a counsellor or therapist and therefore can not offer this type of service.
I undertake regular CPD to enrich and develop my skills and knowledge.
